Aside from being an AISC-certified steel fabricators, Pikes Peak Steel is also a member of the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP). This program is sponsored by OSHA and recognizes employers who operate exemplary safety and health management programs.

Acceptance into this program represents an achievement in status among business peers as a model for worksite safety and health. In Colorado, less than 40 companies are currently recognized for this achievement.

For seven straight years, Pinnacol Assurance, Colorado’s leading workers’ compensation insurer, has recognized Pikes Peak Steel by awarding the Circle of Safety Award. This award is only presented to companies that exhibit exemplary performance in safety, loss control, and financial and claims management.

Less than one-tenth of one percent of Pinnacol’s 55,000 plus policyholders have been presented this award. The recipients are an elite group whose commitment to safety and sound risk management practices qualify them for this honor.
